Camp With Magnificent Real Wolves At Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary In Texas

Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary offers unique camping experiences where guests can sleep near wolves and enjoy educational activities.

Most of us Texans have done our fair share of camping, but most likely not surrounded by wolves. At Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary, guests can fall asleep while being serenaded by the majestic creatures. Hot cocoa and campfires are involved, too!

Hiding in the small town of Montgomery, Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary harbors nearly a dozen of the most misunderstood animals on earth. Visitors are welcome all year to learn all about the incredible beings via face-to-face encounters.

Surprisingly docile, the wolves each have their own unique personality. Visitors can interact with them in a safe, structured way that fosters learning and appreciation.

Handlers never go inside the enclosures, but it's still captivating to watch them feed the wolves. Emotional bonds truly know no species!

Appropriately named "Howl Night," this special event includes a tour of the sanctuary and in-depth presentation on wolves around a raging campfire. Food and drinks are included.

"Camping with the Wolves" is an extension of Howl Night, offering the unique opportunity to fall asleep serenaded by the majestic creatures. The next morning, enjoy coffee or hot cocoa and a light breakfast before heading home.

Howl Night is $30 for adults and $20 for children, while camping is $75 for adults and $50 for children. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Address: 2757 St Beulah Chapel Road, Montgomery, TX 77316. Campouts are generally held on the second and fourth Saturday of each month, and you can book a spot online.
