Nestled on Main Street in the heart of Fredericksburg, the Fredericksburg Brewing Company is the oldest operating brewpub in Texas. It opened in 1994, mere months after brewpubs were deemed legal in the Lone Star State.

The brewpub is housed in a late 19th-century building and makes award-winning ales and lagers on-site. There are at least five brews on tap at any given time, and more than 20 over the course of a year.

Whether you opt for a house specialty like the Enchanted Rock Red Ale or a limited-time, seasonal offering, there's a perfect sip for everyone.

And the food! The brewery doubles as a restaurant, serving up everything from authentic German food to pizza and burgers to Southern comforts like chicken-fried steak and meatloaf.

In addition to the main seating area, the brewery also has a spacious, air-conditioned biergarten that feels like a year-round Oktoberfest celebration.

Oh, and did we mention there are 12 guest rooms?

With 11 rooms upstairs and one on the ground floor, the adults-only "Bed & Brew" retreat is the ultimate overnight adventure for beer lovers.

Each room has a different theme - for example, the "Vineyard" room features wine bottles, barrels, and corks, while the "Wildlife" room has animal print décor and furnishings - but all of them are non-smoking and outfitted with one queen bed.

The icing on the cake is that each guest receives a free pint of beer each night!
