Recently, the Texas museum is upped the ante, offering train enthusiasts the getaway of a lifetime.
This 1949 vintage rail car, known as the Bonnie Brook Rail Car is available to rent for the night via VRBO.
Built in 1949 for the New York Central Railroad, the Bonnie Brook made its final stop in Galveston in May of 2020.
Due to unforeseen events, opening it up to the public for overnight stays took a backseat - until recently.
The veritable train hotel in Texas sleeps up to ten people and features 24-hour porter service.
It has 2.5 bedrooms, a galley kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower, and even an observation area that seats 20 guests.
Nightly rates average around $500, so while not cheap, it's a bucket list kind of experience that's well-worth the cost if you're into trains.
You'll also be able to book the train car for private events such as birthday parties and photoshoots.
