Sleep In A Dome Underneath The Sprawling West Texas Night Sky With Big Bend Glamping In Texas
Agave Abode offers a unique, budget-friendly glamping experience in the desert near Big Bend.
There aren't many hotels near Big Bend, but it's more fun to immerse yourself in the park's remote, rugged beauty, anyway. You can do just that in the Agave Abode, a dome-shaped Airbnb at Big Bend Glamping. It's spacious, has everything you need for a good night's sleep, and features some of the best views in Texas.
Named the "Agave Abode," this unique, dome-shaped dwelling is nestled in a sprawling valley just outside of Terlingua and Big Bend. It offers a secluded desert getaway without giving up all the creature comforts you know and love, allowing for a modern immersive experience in nature.
Three cots provide a comfortable night's sleep, as they don't contain any poles going across the fabric. You'll need to bring your own linens, blankets, and pillows, but it feels more homey that way, after all. The best part? It's only $41 per night!
A community trailer is available to all Big Bend Glamping guests, featuring an extensive collection of books, free WiFi, power outlets, and charging cords. You just might make some lifelong friends, too!
Provided a burn ban isn't in place, you're welcome to use the fire pit located front-and-center on the property. Nine-Point Mesa towers in the distance, making for an incredible view as you roast marshmallows and tell stories.
It's all fun and games! Horseshoes and washer boards are available for everyone to use, encouraging some healthy competition among comrades and strangers alike.
As neat as the dome is, you won't be spending much time in it with surroundings like this. If you've never seen the desert before a thunderstorm, it's definitely a sight to behold.
10 miles away, Terlingua Ranch Lodge boasts a pool, bathrooms, showers, a washer/dryer, and even a restaurant. Big Bend Glamping guests are welcome to use the pool for a fee of just $5.
There is a port-a-potty on site with jugs of water for brushing your teeth and washing up, but you'll want to utilize the lodge if you prefer more upscale amenities. Visit the Airbnb page to learn more.
