Montgomery Bell State Park is located just a stone's throw from Nashville, Tennessee, at a mere 35 miles from the city center. With just 40 minutes separating locals from the fun and enjoyment of the great outdoors, the park has become a respite for many Music City dwellers and beyond.
The 3,850-acre park is naturally stunning, and folks visit to take part in the 23 miles of dirt mountain bike trails, golfing, and the chance to boat, swim, and paddle on the lake. The peaceful vacation locale is well-frequented by Tennesseans and folks from out-of-state alike for its outdoor opportunity and beauty.
The state park offers some of the best year-round camping near Nashville, and you too can choose to book one of the 47 sites equipped with water and electricity, one of the 40 sites with onsite sewer for campers and RVs, or one of the 22 tent-only sites.
Reservations are required, and there are 3 bathhouses located on the campground. The camping rates listed by the state park are for up to 4 people per site, and $1 per additional person up to 3 can be added. Keep in mind, winter or summer, sites are limited to 7 people.
You'll have the chance to learn about the park's expansive history as the center of the iron industry many years ago, and the fully renovated 117-room Lodge (not pictured) gives visitors the chance to enjoy the stunning interior design from the lodge or outdoor pool. There are also 8 cabins available for rent.
You'll want to bring your camera since the park is absolutely gorgeous, but maybe leave your phone at home. Montgomery Bell State Park offers the best year-round camping near Nashville, and you'll want to experience it to the fullest.
