1. The Serenity Cabin on Fluffy Bottom Farm, Johnson City
The Serenity Cabin sits atop a mountain with unobstructed views of the dynamic landscape in East Tennessee. While staying in this private place you will have access to 30 acres to explore.
While you stay, enjoy the glorious sunrises and sunsets over the ridge. Take a walk around the property to soak in the quiet tranquility of this beautiful place.
I find the mountains of East Tennessee to be some of the most peaceful I have ever seen, and this rental makes good use of that lifestyle. There is a small farm on the property so you can also get the chance to see some barnyard animals grazing in the fields.
Close by you will also be able to access the Watauga River.
This body of water offers some of the best fishing in the state, so make sure you bring your fishing gear. You can also take a voyage down the river in a kayak or canoe and match the calming flow of water as you float down the river.
As amazing as the outside space is, the inside matches the opulence of nature.
Bring the outside in with the big picture window in front of the large soaking tub. Everything from the comfy queen-sized bed to the double decks utilizes the beauty of the property brilliantly.
2. The Tree House at Little River, Maryville
The Tree House at Little River sits in the shadows of the Smokies. The property is remote and thus offers a quiet retreat from the busy world. The rental really comes alive at night with string lights that illuminate the whole backyard which is the crown jewel of this Airbnb.
Take the steps down to the lower dock to get close to the river and get swept away by the tranquil flow of water.
Allow the serenading of crickets to soothe your mind and watch as the fireflies flutter and flicker along the water.
This is a spot I could just sit at for hours!
3. Copper Top Cabin, Tallassee
The Copper Top Cabin is located in a secluded area right on the Gold Pond in the Top Of The World community. This private little body of water is only shared with one other cabin on the other side of the water. You will have this quiet and scenic area to play and relax. The water is nice and cool and you can make good use of it with the kayak, canoe, paddle boat, and john boat available for you to use. Prefer to dip in the water on a warm day? Jump in from the dock or simply bask in the sun by the glistening pond.
This is a great place to bring your family because there is a slide from the back deck to the ground!
I don’t know about you, but if my parents booked this place when I was young it may have been my favorite family vacation ever. Inside you will find a classic cabin vibe with exposed wood, reminding you of those nostalgic days in a lake house. There are also great ways for families to unplug from technology and reconnect with each other with a game table and plenty of games.
After a long day of swimming, paddling, and sitting in the sun, light up the fire and gather around for s'mores.
This was always my favorite part of camping and still to this day is a great way to sit as a family and talk about the adventures of the day. As the embers fade to match the darkness of the night, you can retreat to bed where the quiet and private setting will allow you to fall into a peaceful slumber.
From mountaintop farms to peaceful waterside properties there is a lot to love about Tennessee and these secluded Airbnb rentals make the most of the beautiful nature found in our state.
If you're looking for more quiet places to visit, this little-known lake in Tennessee is one of our favorites.
