Get Away From It All At This Cabin With Its Own Playground In Ohio

Robin Hill cabin in Georgetown, Ohio, offers a cozy and well-equipped family-friendly getaway with its own playground and nearby historical attractions.

My in-laws often take my kids for a night or weekend away, and recently, they splurged on a cottage located at a nearby lake. The cottage had everything needed for a Grandma and Grandpa getaway with my four kids: a full kitchen, well-equipped game room, and plenty of sleeping arrangements. Because of its lakeside location, the cottage lacked a yard; instead, the lake *was* the main attraction. That's not the case with today's feature destination. Located in Georgetown, Ohio, Robin's Hill is a well-appointed cabin with, among other things, its own playground. This is the kind of "all inclusive" experience that's perfect for families and grandparents, offering lots of things to keep kids occupied while adults sit back and relax.

Vacationing with kids can sometimes feel like anything *but* a vacation. So for me, finding a place to stay that's exciting and a destination in and of itself, is key.

Robin Hill checks all those boxes -- and more. This well-appointed cabin is located in bucolic Brown County, Ohio, in the historic and charming village of Georgetown.

This spacious rental has a decidedly "cozy cabin" vibe, with lots of warm wood and stone features, rustic furniture, and works of taxidermy on the walls.

There are three bedrooms with sleeping accommodations for up to 10, making this perfect for large families, big groups, or grandparent getaways!

Sometimes when we go on vacation, finding the perfect sleeping arrangements for my kids is a bit like musical chairs, so it's always a big plus to have options.

Another big "plus" with this cabin? The playground. Yes -- this charming and cozy cabin in Ohio has its very own playground! The backyard has a variety of play equipment and lots of room to run. I imagine some epic games of "hide and seek" happening out here.

Of course, there's another great house in the neighborhood that's definitely worth checking out: the US Grant Boyhood Home and Schoolhouse. Just minutes from the Georgetown cabin, this National Historic Landmark is a must for Buckeye State history buffs. This is where the future Civil War general and president of the United States lived from 1823–1839, as well as where young Grant attended school.

If you're lucky, you might stumble upon a historical reenactment while you're there! You never know...

Another wonderful attraction in the area is Meranda-Nixon Winery, one of the premier wineries in Ohio. The rolling hills and big skies of the Ohio Valley are on full display here, and I definitely suggest buying a bottle to enjoy back at the cabin! The front porch is calling, friends.

Whether you come to Georgetown for a historical adventure or simply to get away from it all, this cozy cabin is the perfect place to call "home."

Robin's Hill is a dream getaway for families and big groups, and with such a robust array of amenities, it's easily among the best places to stay in Ohio. Come and enjoy a getaway in the beautiful Ohio Valley!
