Ah, New Mexico: the Land of Enchantment and home to the iconic White Sands National Park. As an avid road-tripper, this national park near Alamogordo is definitely on my bucket list—and it belongs on yours, too! With miles of pure gypsum dunes glistening under the rays of the desert sun, it’s no wonder that folks travel from near and far to marvel at the mesmerizing landscape. Of course, while in town, they’ll need a place to stay. Luckily, there are several incredible vacation rentals in Alamogordo, but none come close to Casa Amarilla.

The kids will love the playground and seeing the monkeys and reptiles who call the zoo home.
