The Missouri Airbnb With a Next-Level Hot Tub Redefines Cozy Season

This Missouri Airbnb beckons you to book a winter getaway to the Ozarks. The hot tub is calling you.

I love the Ozarks. In any and every season, but my favorite time to go is when everybody else doesn’t. I’ve always had an affinity for off-season travel because the truest, most authentic vibe of any place is revealed when it isn’t showing off for the tourist season. And very often, the deepest local experience is achieved through an Airbnb stay. For a winter getaway in the Missouri Ozarks, where outdoor living is the draw, I’m looking for a next-level outdoor feature, like a hot tub perched on a deck with a view.

Part of the allure of the Missouri Ozarks is the impossibly Caribbean-blue water, and I wouldn’t even feel like I was in Missouri if I couldn’t see it far and wide. And I want to see it from the living room, the front yard, and, of course, that hot tub on the deck. If that’s you, too, I found just the spot: a secluded, private, waterfront home in Horseshoe Bend on Lake Ozark. It just might be the best hot tub Airbnb in Missouri.

Here is where the family gathers, or a couple drawn to lots of space, in a three-bed, two-bath home tucked onto a cove, brandishing those remarkable Ozark blues, visible from the sprawling decks (and every water-facing window). But let’s be honest, 90 percent of our time here is spent beneath the bubbles, steam in our faces, immersed in the winter glory of a hot tub with water views.

While you’re sitting in the water, looking at the water, your mind might start wandering, wondering how and why Lake Ozark is so very blue, even when the sun isn’t shining, reflecting a brilliant sky atop the glistening lake. The vibrant blue water, known throughout Missouri, is attributed to its cleanliness, clarity, depth, and mineral content. Many lakes in the Ozarks are spring-fed, including Lake Ozark, which means fresh water constantly flows in and out, providing incredible water clarity and a blue tint. Many nature centers and conservation groups in the Ozarks say that dolomite, limestone, calcium, and magnesium are the most abundant minerals found in the dazzling waters here.

This all translates to blue water that stays blue, even in the winter, even if the sky isn’t at its bluest. It makes a winter getaway in Missouri among the most appealing in the Midwest, not necessarily for the snow, but for the hefty dose of blue we all crave so much in the late winter slough from January through March.

If you choose to book the blue getaway at this Missouri Airbnb, you’re in for a treat! You'll love the open-concept living and dining space with million-dollar water views, a modern kitchen, a cozy indoor fireplace, and a foosball table. It’s perfect for gatherings, with plenty of beds for up to 10 guests to sleep comfortably. Perhaps the best news of all, though, is how budget-friendly it is.
