You Can Spend The Night In A 1920s Police Station And It Will Be A Stay To Remember

The Hotel AKA Back Bay in Boston (formerly Loews Boston Hotel) is a luxury hotel that was once the headquarters for the Boston Police.

The building was renovated and is now a gorgeous four-star hotel.

Built in the 1920s, the police headquarters saw its fair share of interesting guests over the years. It is rumored that Albert DeSalvo, the Boston Strangler, paid a visit.

This building remained an important fixture in Boston for decades. The police headquarters remained in this location until 1997.

The hotel strives to honor the officers who worked here by maintaining some of the historical aspects of the building. You will find the original "Police Department" name inscribed on the front of the building.

The blue lanterns on either side of the entrance are also original.

Inside, you can see historic plaques and photographs.

Event rooms and conference spaces are named after former police officers.

However, a stay in this building is nothing like it was years ago.

The now Hotel AKA Back Bay offers guests a luxury experience. Accommodations include suites and studios.

Perks such as gourmet coffee, heated towels, and comfy robes are now the norm.
