This Rural Airbnb in Maryland Is Peak Fall Vibes

Located in peaceful St. Michaels, this fall Airbnb in Maryland is an amazing place for when you truly want to get away from it all.

I've been to Maryland quite a few times in recent years, but like many people, I haven't yet explored the more far-flung corners of the state. It's famous for its bustling metropolises and beautiful summer beach scene, but not far from the big city, you'll find a bucolic paradise that makes for the perfect escape at the end of summer and early fall. Located in the peaceful town of Saint Michaels, on the banks of Eastern Bay, is where you'll find La Casita on Harris Creek.

This perfect fall Airbnb in Maryland is a charming cottage on a farm surrounded by nothing but nature. Inspired by the classic barns of the Chesapeake, this retreat is only minutes from the downtown of Saint Michaels, but feels like it's in a whole different world. This is a perfect spot if you really want to beat the heat, escape from the stress of everyday life, and get a front-row seat as nature prepares to put on the colorful show it does every fall.

While this charming farm getaway might feel like you've stepped back in time, the cottage-style guesthouse here is actually newly constructed and is an incredible place to stay. It sleeps three guests and is a perfect place to just zone out and enjoy the beauty of nature all around you.

Inside, the cottage feels like a charming country getaway. It has a kitchen with a stovetop, a microwave, and Wi-Fi so you can work during your stay. The bedroom contains one king bed and one sofa bed. The bedroom is located in the loft, so you can be guaranteed an amazing view.

One of the best parts about this getaway is all the water features, including a mineral pool that opens in May every year and is open through the end of September. It's surrounded by the farm's gardens, and is an ideal place to bird-watch.

But if you're here off-season, you're not out of luck with the water—this farm has access to Harris Creek, which is an incredible place for fishing for local species like striped bass and perch, or just taking in the freshwater breeze.

This getaway is beautiful throughout the year, but there's something truly special about staying there in the fall. The cottage is surrounded by a thick bank of trees, so everywhere you look, you'll get a show as the leaves change color. I highly recommend making time to watch the sunset if you're lucky enough to be here in autumn—it's like a competing display of colors between the sky and the trees!

Have you gotten to stay at this beautiful fall Airbnb in Maryland? If not, make sure to tell a travel buddy about this article and book your own stay on the official Airbnb listing—most of September and October is currently available! And while you're in the area, make sure to head into town to explore the dining, shopping, and culture of Saint Michaels, one of Maryland's best small towns for a weekend getaway.
