This Louisiana Airbnb Is Like Stepping onto the Set of a Wes Anderson Film
If you're as big of a fan of his work as I am, the Ticket Booth Airbnb in Louisiana is like stepping onto the set of a Wes Anderson film.
Have you ever seen a Wes Anderson film? Whether you've watched one of his older movies like, The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) or The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004), or one of his latest films like Asteroid City (2023) or The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Three More (2024), you've probably noticed his distinct style and aesthetic. With vibrant or muted splashes of color, symmetry, and retro set decor, the aesthetics are as much a feast for the eyes as the stories are for one's movie-loving soul.
Ticket Booth Airbnb: A Wes Anderson Film Come to Life
If you're as big a fan of his work as I am, the Ticket Booth Airbnb in Louisiana is like stepping onto the set of a Wes Anderson film.
Once upon a time, the Ticket Booth served its purpose as a ticket booth at a train depot. Now, as part of the Train Wreck Inn in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, it's one of several train-themed accommodations on the property that can be booked through Airbnb.
The Ticket Booth's quaint white exterior with orange trim and a wraparound porch is quite inviting. Open the door, and you'll enter the cozy yet spacious studio suite with a queen-sized bed where you'll sleep for the night. It's hard not to notice that Wes Anderson's films inspired the space's color palette. Not only that, but additional elements are reminiscent of his set design. These include elements like vintage glassware and a record player, similar to the one in Moonrise Kingdom.
Inside This Wes Anderson-Inspired Airbnb
The kitchen with patterned tiles, vintage dishes, and mint green cabinetry also looks Wes Anderson-like to me. There's even a vintage-style mini fridge that suits the kitchen's design. You can certainly have fun in this space as you play vinyl on the record player and listen to music while preparing a meal or a snack.
The Ticket Booth also has a full private bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower, white subway tiles, and a mint green sink backsplash and wall paint. There's even a Grand Budapest Hotel poster as a nod to Wes Anderson and his design inspiration for the Ticket Booth.
Outdoor Amenities at Ticket Booth Airbnb
If you want to spend time outdoors on the property, there's a covered deck area shared with other Train Wreck Inn guests. Here you can sit and read a book or meet others to discuss how cool the property is.
How would you like to stay at the Ticket Booth Airbnb in Louisiana to feel like you're on the set of a Wes Anderson film? Whether or not you're a fan of his movies, there's no denying that this former train depot ticket booth will be one of the most unique places you'll stay in Louisiana. If the Ticket Booth is booked, consider staying at the other Wes Anderson-esque Train Wreck Inn accommodations: The Yellow Caboose, The Blue Train Car, or The Ole Depot. Have a big group? You can also rent out the entire site.
