You’ll Feel Like You’re in a Fire Station When You Sleep Overnight in This Louisiana Tower
The Firehouse Tower vacation rental in Shreveport, Louisiana, is a one-of-a-kind getaway that anyone would love.
Were you ever fascinated by fire trucks, stations, or towers as a kid? I certainly was, so I was excited to find the Firehouse Tower vacation rental in Louisiana, perfect for the inner child in all of us. Located in downtown Shreveport, this fire tower is a one-of-a-kind getaway you can't help but love!
Once upon a time, the Downtown Historic Firehouse Tower, as it's called now, was the hose tower for the Downtown Central Fire Department in Shreveport. Eventually, it was turned into a five-story apartment, renovated with modern amenities. When it was first renovated, it housed visiting artists for the Shreveport Regional Arts Council. Now, anyone can make a reservation through Airbnb. For those who love staying in renovated places with a historical background, the Firehouse Tower is a gem!
The place has an industrial feel with its exposed brick walls and concrete flooring. The bright red accents on the staircase railings between floors are reminiscent of the fire engine red and will give the vibe that you're in a fire station. It's a unique vacation rental, to say the least.
The Firehouse Tower has five floors, and stairs connect each floor. The first level is the lobby, where you'll find a half-bath and information on the Tower. Take a flight of stairs to the second floor, and there's the living room with a full sofa bed, a TV, and a reclining massage chair for the ultimate relaxing space.
The kitchenette and dining area are located on the third level. The owner keeps the shelves stocked with snacks and the small fridge stocked with beverages, including some for adults only—yay! You can certainly cook here, or feel free to take a short stroll to one of the many restaurants in the area.
Moving onto the fourth floor, this is where the bathroom complete with a rain shower is located, and the fifth floor is where you'll be sleeping in a queen-sized platform bed. And just when you think there aren't any more floors to explore, think again! Climb a ladder to the patio on the sixth floor and enjoy the views of downtown and nearby Caddo Common Park. I must say, staying at Firehouse Tower in Shreveport seems like an unforgettable experience!
