Get Away From It All At This Remote And Beautiful Campground In Louisiana
There are so many beautiful campgrounds in Louisiana, that it can be hard to pick just one! If you’re looking for something a little more remote, I’d recommend booking a stay at Lake End Park Campground. This lovely waterfront campground in Louisiana offers so many amenities, you may never want to leave. As an added bonus, the campground is both pet and kid-friendly!

Sitting pretty on the shores of Lake Palourde, Lake End Park Campground is a bit of a hidden gem.
Morgan City is no stranger to beautiful campgrounds, but Lake End Park tends to be used more as a day-use park. For the ultimate experience, spend a long weekend camping here.
Even though Morgan City is a fairly big city, you’ll feel like you’re a million miles away from it all.
Welcome to Bayou Country!
The beach is one of the campground’s main attractions, so be sure to bring your swimsuit.
Pull up a patch of sand and soak in some sun in between splashing around.
The campground also offers umbrellas, kayaks, and boat rentals, too.
The 1.5-mile walking trail is a great way to explore the campground and get your steps in.
Speaking of lovely walks, Brownell Memorial Park is nearby and also overlooks this lake. The 9-acre park has plenty of paths to wander and beautiful views, too!
Much of the trail hugs the shoreline so you can enjoy those beautiful waterfront views as you stroll underneath the cypress trees.
Spanish moss swaying in the breeze is one of my favorite sights. Especially when it catches the light!
This is also a popular fishing area, so you may want to bring along your tackle box.
Fish from the wharf or use the boat ramp to launch your boat to find a new fishing spot. Boaters have access to Bayou Boeuf, Flat Lake, Lake Verret, Six Mile Lake, and the Lower Atchafalaya River! Who knows, you might just catch the biggest bass in Louisiana history! I believe in you.
Lake End Park Campground offers several ways to stay, including six waterfront cabins.
Pets are not allowed in the cabins, but they are allowed in RV sites and primitive camping areas.
The waterfront campsites continue to the RV area, where you'll find 147 RV sites.
Imagine waking up to that view!

While you're in the area, consider taking a tour of Avery Island. From the Tabasco Factory to Bird City, this iconic island is perfect for a day trip.
