1. Andrew Jackson Hotel
Before it was a hotel, the building served as an all-boys boarding school, which explains all of the ghostly hauntings of children that have been reported over the years. Many guests and staff have reported seeing the ghosts of children running down the halls, and often hearing the laughter of children when no one is nearby. 919 Royal St, New Orleans, LA 70116.
2. Omni Royal Orleans
It’s reported that there are over 50 ghosts that wander the halls of this particular hotel. One of the most common spirits is a former maid who used to work at the hotel, and is reported to play tricks on the guests at night. From turning on the faucets to flushing toilets, you never know what paranormal experience you’re going to have here. 621 St Louis St, New Orleans, LA 70130.
3. Le Pavillon Hotel
Perhaps one of the most haunted hotels in the city, construction on the building was completed in 1907. Originally named the New Hotel Denechaud, and then later the DeSoto Hotel, it wouldn’t become Le Pavillon until the 1970s. There seem to be many spirits around this particular hotel. Many guests on the 9th floor have reported seeing the ghost of a woman dressed in all back, sitting on the foot of the bed. There have also been sightings of a couple in the lobby that appear to be dressed from the 1920s. 4. Dauphine Orleans Hotel
Dating back to 1775, the Dauphine Orleans Hotel has had plenty of ghost sightings. From Civil War soldiers to ladies-of-the-evening, there have been many reports of ghostly figures wandering the halls over at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel. 415 Dauphine St, New Orleans, LA 70112.
5. Hotel Monteleone
Nestled in the French Quarter, the Hotel Monteleone is allegedly home to a number of ghosts. One such ghost is a young boy names Maurice, who is often seen wandering around the 14th floor, looking for his parents. Another spirit is a bit of a trickster, and opens a locked door in the hotel restaurant every night. 214 Royal St, New Orleans, LA 70130.
6. Hotel Provincial
It’s not uncommon to see a spirit or two in this historic hotel. Countless guests have reported seeing soldiers from the 1700s walking through the hotel only to disappear into thin air. Others have reported hearing the screams of soldiers when no one is around, and also some people have claimed to have seen pools of blood appear on their bedding only to vanish with no explanation. 1024 Chartres St, New Orleans, LA 70116.
