After A Day Of Hiking In Louisiana’s Kisatchie National Forest, Check Into The Rustic Sky Horse Camp To Relax

The Kisatchie National Forest is sprawled out across seven parishes in northern and central Louisiana, and it's broken up into five Ranger Districts.

There are hundreds of hiking trails here, ranging from the short and sweet trails to the legendary Wild Azalea Trail, the longest primitive hiking trail in Louisiana.

The out-and-back trail clocks in at an impressive 31 miles. Of course, you don't have to hike the entire trail in one day, you can always do it in sections.

Each trail offers something unique, and many of the trails weave through little brooks and streams alongside the rolling hills, giving you the sense that you've left Louisiana entirely.
