This Spacious Rental Is Near Mammoth Cave National Park
This three-bedroom Airbnb is a wonderful home base for exploring Mammoth Cave National Park, which is only minutes away.
I've visited national parks to the east and west, with soaring mountains and bubbling hot springs. Although I loved those parks, I am convinced Kentucky's Mammoth Cave is truly exceptional. The world's longest cave system took millions of years to form, and there's nothing else like it. But Mammoth Cave National Park is more than a humongous, stunning cave system; the 53,000-acre park boasts 80 miles of hiking trails and the Green River, great for canoeing, kayaking, and boating. There are also opportunities to stargaze, fish, and ride horses. Have I convinced you to plan a trip to Mammoth Cave National Park? We have found a wonderful place to stay on your getaway. The Cave Retreat is a spacious, beautiful three-bedroom Airbnb less than five minutes from the park.
The Cave Retreat is the perfect home base for your Mammoth Cave adventures. It has comfortable and cozy places to eat, gather, and rest. The three bedrooms accommodate up to six guests: two with queen beds and one with two twin beds.
The full kitchen has white cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. It includes a dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, and toaster. A coffee bar with a Keurig coffee maker has everything you need to make the perfect cup of coffee. There's also a comfortable dining area for six, the ideal space to enjoy a hearty breakfast or dinner.
The large living room has a plush wraparound couch, two armchairs, and a large television on the wall. Wouldn't you like to enjoy a family movie night after a fun day touring Mammoth Cave?
The Airbnb's outdoor living spaces are exceptional. The home's covered front porch has two rocking chairs. There's also a fire pit area for making delicious s'mores. Four Adirondack chairs and two hanging egg-shaped chairs surround the fire pit, and hanging lights create a welcoming, festive atmosphere. Guests note that the house is wonderful for stargazing.

Mammoth Cave is a must-see destination in Kentucky. It makes an excellent weekend trip, but I think you'll likely want to stay longer. At Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo, visitors can see exotic animals like kangaroos, lemurs, and alligators. Dinosaur World is also a unique attraction in the area, with life-size dinosaurs and a playground.
In addition to incredible adventures above ground and below, the area also has excellent restaurants. Miss Betty's is a homey diner serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cave City Pizza serves New York-style pizza, salads, pasta, and more.
