The Kentucky Airbnb With a Next-Level Barrel Sauna That Redefines Cozy Season

While most of us can’t wait for summer, I’m one of the few that prefers winter travel. I embrace the long nights and use it as a time to recharge. There are a lot of benefits to traveling in the winter, ranging from fewer bugs to cheaper prices (and fewer crowds!). Plus, there are few things better than warming up by a fire or relaxing in a hot tub on a cold winter day. For my winter warriors, I’ve found an incredible winter getaway in Kentucky that truly has it all.

This Airbnb in Rogers is the perfect place to call home for a few days. It’s conveniently located in the heart of Kentucky’s Red River Gorge and offers some stunning 360-degree views. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom house can accommodate up to six guests, ideal for families or a group of friends. 

The open concept living room and kitchen sets the space up perfectly to ensure that anyone cooking can still join in conversations or watch the television. The wood tones give the place a rustic cabin feel, despite it being built in 2022. 

It’s hard to find a winter getaway in Kentucky that checks off all the boxes, but this one goes above and beyond. The large, wrap-around deck offers plenty of seating, so you’ll always be able to find a secluded spot for yourself. My personal favorite is the lofted net hammock that’s suspended from the wrap around deck. It’s certainly not for anyone scared of heights, but boy oh boy is it the perfect spot to stargaze. 

Speaking of stargazing, there’s also a Geodome with a day bed and a telescope that you can stargaze from. If you’ve ever spent any time stargazing, you know it doesn’t take long for your neck to start bothering you. Laying down with a blanket on those cold Kentucky nights and watching the stars dance above gives your neck a break and makes the whole experience much more comfortable. 

There’s also a wood fire pit with swinging pergola seats, perfect for roashing marshmallows and warming up in between sauna sessions and hot tub soaks. 

Yep, that’s right—there is both a hot tub and a sauna at this Airbnb in Kentucky! It’s rare to find both of these ammenities in one spot, so take advantage of them! I love saunas, they’re such a wonderful way to clear your mind and recharge. 

While I wouldn’t blame you if you never left the property, the Airbnb is in a great location if you wanted to explore the region. Nearby attractions include Miller Fork Recreational Preserve and Natural Bridge State Resort Park. You'll never run out of things to do in the Red River Gorge region. Spend your days hitting the hiking trails and then come back to the hot tub and sauna.
