This Snowy Kansas Cabin Is the Coziest Winter Escape

It's an awesome place to escape to when you need a break from the real world for a while, and I found an amazing A-Frame in Manhattan, Kansas, that's sure to make your stay positively idyllic.

Nestled in the woods, this gorgeous cabin sleeps up to four, so it's perfect for romantic getaways and/or vacations with a small family group. It's among the tip-top, best-of-the-best vacation rentals in Kansas, and I think you'll end up like I did: never, ever wanting to leave. And I can't blame you!

The amenities jam-packed into this little place are much too many to list in just a couple of short paragraphs, but goodness, they're worth mentioning. One of my favorite things to do is to chill in the frigid winter nights while relaxing in the hot tub, which you'll find on the patio outside. It's quietening to the soul to enjoy the dichotomy of freezing temperatures and cozy, heated water, and here, you'll find plenty of exactly that.

Sitting under the stars has never been so incredibly calming.

Once you're ready to go indoors, the amazingness continues. Enjoy a coffee bar with both a traditional coffee pot and a Keurig machine, and curl up in front of the electric fireplace with a good book. Step into the fully-equipped kitchen and make all your favorite home-cooked meals and fall madly in love with the enormous farm-style sink (which sounds totally weird, I know, but seriously - it's awesome).

The seemingly endless windows offer incredible views of Tuttle Creek Lake, and when everything's coated in a layer of fresh snow, it takes on a particularly wondrous personality of its own. Kansas is beautiful year-round, but the wonders of winter seldom get the credit they deserve.

Once it's time to retire, meander up the gorgeous staircase to either of the rooms; they're clean, beautiful and classy, offering an incredibly cozy place to lay your head and wake up each morning to the singing of the birds in the woods surrounding the cabin. Each day you're here, you're entirely immersed in the woods, surrounded by the natural wonder of Kansas's splendor.
