You’ll Feel Like You’re in a Dream When You Sleep Overnight in This Indiana Treehouse

Nashville, Indiana, is an amazing little town with so many things to do, see, and experience that it's tough to know where to begin. It's perfect for just about everyone, from the history geeks to the nature lovers and everyone in between. If you're planning to explore any time soon, you'll need a place to stay - and in that case, I've found the perfect place. Why bother with hotels or bed and breakfasts when you can experience a treehouse stay in Indiana instead?

Truly, look at this view from the deck:

This alone is what caught my attention; it's not every day one gets to sleep above the trees (but beneath the stars) and enjoy the seemingly endless skies of the American Midwest. Few things are more calming for the spirit than sitting on this incredible deck and sipping coffee, tea, wine, or whatever your beverage of choice might be.

Brown County is often considered the most beautiful region in Indiana, and this treehouse is located smack-dab at the top of one of the county's highest hills. It offers a unique perspective of the forest, unlike any other you've ever experienced. The place isn't overly enormous, at just 1,000 square feet, but its layout makes it feel roomy.

And don't even get me started about the views from the inside.

I don't even know which part is my favorite: the cozy fireplace, the luxurious hot-tub-style bath with amazing outdoor views, or the views themselves. It's truly all worth it. Do keep in mind, though, that to access this treehouse loft, one must climb a set of stairs, so folks with mobility needs might want to skip this one.

Should you decide you want to meander out and about, you're in luck: Nashville is easily one of my favorite small towns in Indiana, and there's plenty to do in Brown County as well. Visit Brown County State Park, hike some of the Hoosier State's most incredible trails, and enjoy all the sights and sounds of Indiana's wilderness in a safe, wonderful setting.

Once you're tired, come back to the treehouse and unwind on the deck. Watch the sunset and wait for the night sky to put on a show. Since you're above the trees, you'll have an unobstructed view of the night sky, which is crucial for stargazing. If you plan your trip around one of the many meteor showers that happen throughout the year, even better! My favorite is Perseids (mid-August), but really any night will do. As long as the clouds are away, the stars will come out to play!
