Sometimes, all you need is a reset, and my favorite way to reset is by traveling to other towns and exploring them (especially their main streets). When I'm feeling romantic, I enjoy doing this with my special someone - and I highly recommend it! In fact, there are all sorts of amazing places in Indiana that are perfect for a romantic getaway with your person; I've gone ahead and compiled a shortlist of seven of my favorite places to run off to with my significant other just for fun. 1. Woodside: A Frank Lloyd Wright Masterpiece - Marion

Everyone knows who Frank Lloyd Wright is - even folks who aren't particularly interested in architecture. Did you know there's a home he designed right here in the Hoosier State - and you can spend the night? Yep, it's true. Welcome to Woodside, a breathtaking example of Wright's incredible work. It sleeps up to six guests in four bedrooms, but when it comes to couples' getaways, it doesn't get much more jaw-dropping than this slice of paradise. If you think it's magical on the outside, wait 'til you see what it looks like inside.

2. Lakefront House on Lake Shafer - Monticello

Lake Shafer is beautiful and an excellent place to visit and play, with all sorts of attractions and amenities to ensure you never want to leave. Enter this stunning lake house rental in Indiana right up on the shore, where you and your special someone can snuggle up and enjoy the waterfront views. This one's a guest favorite, and it's easy to see why: It's got quaint country charm and views to fall in love with - it's the perfect place to fall in love with your partner all over again, or perhaps ignite a new spark in that person who has your eye currently. Best of all, it's within walking distance of Indiana Beach, the single coolest amusement park in Indiana.

3. The Pretty Lake Retreat - Plymouth

Okay, this one is super cute and beyond perfect for one-on-one time away: The lake this incredible vacation home in Indiana is located on is literally named "Pretty Lake", and I'm strongly inclined to agree with the moniker. It is pretty, beautiful even, with crystal-clear water and incredible sunsets; best of all, you don't need to leave if you don't want to. The Pretty Lake Retreat is a relatively-new (built in 2016) vacation home nestled right up on the water. With vaulted ceilings and stunning views of the lake, you can't go wrong. Make memories you and your person will never forget at this stunning home in Plymouth, Indiana.

4. Serene Log Cabin Forest Retreat - La Porte

This traditional log cabin rental in Indiana is about as romantic as it gets for those who prefer the outdoorsy life. Located on five private acres, it's not far at all from attractions like Indiana Dunes National Park and offers peace, quiet, and solitude. Start a roaring fire in the fireplace and cozy up to your favorite human; watch TV, or perhaps read a good book. The kitchen is huge and fully-stocked, perfect for making home-cooked meals.

5. Spring Renewal: A Tranquil Sanctuary - Nashville

Hidden away in Unionville on 40 incredible acres is this Indiana fairy tale getaway in the woods. This vacation cottage is so incredible and so beloved that it's in the top 1 percent of rentals on the entire website; it sleeps up to four, but it's also perfect for two. Designed by architect Lynn Molzan, this cottage is filled with natural light, covered in art from local artists, and it's even got a hot tub. This tranquil sanctuary is easily one of my favorite stays I've ever found, and that's saying a lot. It's truly a gem, and if you're feeling particularly bold, it makes the perfect backdrop for a proposal.

6. The Starr Loft - Richmond

Hidden away up on the second floor of an old business built in 1865 is this gorgeous, classy escape that makes for the perfect romantic getaway. It's picture-perfect in every way, with gorgeous chandeliers, cozy furniture, stunning views outside, and a sense of elegance that makes it ideal for lovers. While you're at the Starr Loft, enjoy two complimentary breakfasts and two signature drinks on the house at The Roscoe's Coffee Bar and Tap Room as a gift from the hosts. Score!

7. A Brown County Cabin Retreat - Nineveh

Last on this list but by no means least, this adorable cabin is located on five absolutely beautiful acres and surrounded in beauty. It's nice and quiet, offering plenty of peace for a couples' trip away. It's quite close to the beautiful town of Nashville, Indiana, which is easily one of my favorite places. Brown County is stunningly beautiful - often referred to as the most beautiful region in Indiana - and this cabin is the best way for you and your love to be fully immersed in it. This incredible cabin rental in Indiana is a must for couples (and everyone, really.)
