Celebrate Winter In Illinois At Eagle Ridge Resort And Spa’s Annual Winter Carnival

If you are looking for an outdoor winter event this season, Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa invites you to attend its annual Winter Carnival. The resort's Nordic Center will be hosting this fun-filled, family-friendly event from February 12-15, 2021, which happens to be the weekend of both Valentine's and Presidents' Days. Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa sits on 6,800 acres filled with gorgeous scenery in Galena, the perfect spot for an outdoor winter festival.

When you arrive, head to the Nordic Center at Highlands Restaurant and enjoy winter sports in the great outdoors during the Carnival. You will have a blast snowshoeing or cross-country skiing along the hills and trails. You may even want to partake in the Sasquatch Shuffle Snowshoe Race.

Snowshoe rentals are available but bring your own skis if you plan on skiing.

At the golf course on the property, you can go sledding down the 10th hole! Sled rentals are available at the Nordic Center.

Skate along on the ice at the outdoor new skating rink. Ice skate rentals are also available.

Watch in awe as ice carvers create works of frozen art.

The Balloon Glow is a favorite during the Winter Carnival! Hot air balloons are tethered and inflated, and just to witness the glow of flames against a snowy backdrop is a breathtaking scene.
