These 4 Treehouses In Hawaii Will Give You An Unforgettable Experience

Discover unique treehouse accommodations in Hawaii that offer a blend of adventure, romance, and natural beauty.

From luxurious resorts and high-rise hotels to beachside cottages, Hawaii has a plethora of lodging options for those who have flown from the mainland, or simply those who want to go on a staycation. But if you are searching for a unique experience, and perhaps a little romance, adventure or nostalgia, check out one of the state’s great treehouses for rent.

1) Hawaii Volcano Treehouse

Located near the Big Island’s Volcano National Park on four acres of pristine Hawaiian rainforest are two treehouses, both built by "Skye, the tree house guy." Built about 20 feet in the air, the magnificent getaways have been integrated into five or six living Ohia trees. Both offer incredible 360-degree views, cozy living arrangements, and an unforgettable experience.

2) Temple Treehouse

Fall asleep to the crashing waves and wake up to birdsong in this cozy one-bedroom tree house located just steps away from Sunset Beach on Oahu’s north shore. Spend your morning surfing or doing yoga on a communal deck, and spend the afternoons relaxing and eating fresh fruit from the lands’ mango, papaya, banana, avocado, and fig trees. Just make sure you don’t pack too much, as you will have to ascend 120 steps to reach the island oasis.

3) Exotic Treehouse

Described as a playhouse for adults, this enchanting treehouse is located near the Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island. Step through the gorgeous moon gate, pictured above, and begin your unforgettable stay. The cozy house features a cedar hot tub, a trap door to access the top floor, and stained glass windows.

4) Bali Hut

Often regarded as one of Hawaii’s best-kept secrets, this quaint treehouse is located within a forested Ohia Grove on one acre of Big Island land. An affordable rental, the Bali Hut is close to both beaches and volcanoes, providing the perfect place to stay for any adventurer.

Personally, I've always wanted to live in a treehouse, and wish I could stay in one of these places. Have you ever stayed in a Hawaii treehouse?
