If you want to stay in a little piece of history, this charming historic cottage in Connecticut is the coziest spot to relax and recharge. Head on over to Granby for this gorgeous stone cottage built in 1932. You’ll spend the weekend lounging in the comfiest beds and admiring the many original fixtures from the 30s that make their appearance in the house.
If you want to get away from it all and head on out of town for a relaxing weekend, this beautiful, historic stone cottage is the place to go.
The stone building was built in 1932 by a Hartford businessman. It’s at an elevation of almost 1,000 feet, so you have clean, country air surrounding you.
The interior was remodeled by the current owners.
They decorated the property with an English country feel. The pieces are cozy and comfortable, while staying stylish.
There isn’t what you would call a traditional kitchen.
There is a spot for the period dishes, as well as a small, vintage 1935 Frigidaire. There is only limited cooking available on a couple of electric appliances.
You’ll find two lovely bedrooms in the cottage.
Even though the whole building is only 1,000 sq feet, it feels spacious. The large bedroom is filled with a king bed, and there’s plenty of room to spare.
The smaller bedroom has a double bed.
The cottage can sleep four. Snuggle in on their goose down pillows after you wrap yourself up in a plush bathrobe.
This amazing cottage truly has everything you could need or want to have a wonderful experience.
Outside you’ll find a fire pit, and plenty of twinkling lights overhead. Spend some time out on the patio with the covered awning, and take in the fresh country air.
You can book this amazing spot at an incredible $96.00 per night! (Prices may fluctuate, of course.)
This wonderful property is very popular and books up quickly, so make sure to reserve your chosen dates as soon as possible. You will love every moment spent within the beautiful stone walls.
