This One Campground Near Buffalo Has A Sandy Beach For Plenty Of Fun In The Sun

The weather's warming up and we're ready to dig our toes into the sand! How about you, Buffalo? If the answer is yes, then we have the ultimate weekend getaway for you to take - and it's only a quick drive from us in Buffalo. A lakefront oasis where you can spend the weekend out in the wilderness as you go camping and swimming, check out this breathtaking state park just outside of the Queen City.

Just over a half hour away from us down in Chautauqua County, Evangola State Park comes to life during the summertime!

Part of the small town of Irving, Evangola State Park sits along the shores of Lake Erie, giving you gorgeous views of a familiar body of water.

Beginning at the end of April and running through until October, camping season at this particular state park is our favorite time of year to visit.

Throughout the park and the designated camping area, you’ll find both sites for tents as well as RVs.

Upon arrival, you’ll quickly notice just how amazing the waterfront views are.

Thankfully you can do more with this lakefront views than just sit back and relax!

Your eyes aren’t fooling you, Evangola State Park has its own natural sandy beach.

Swimming season at Evangola begins during the last weekend of May, a date that’s rapidly sneaking up on us.

One of the most pristine beaches in this region of New York, all it takes is a quick drive for us Buffalonians to reach a campground that also allows you to dig your toes into the sand.
