We're sure you've taken a trip to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge before but did you know about the overnight experiences available at the big cat rescue? For a "pawsitively" perfect summer adventure, let's pitch a tent at Turpentine Creek's one-of-a-kind campground.
This may look like any other campsite in Arkansas but this area is anything but ordinary.
The sites are tent and RV friendly and are $65/night for two guests. In addition to the water and electric hook ups, the sites even have wifi!
This particular campground is located at the beloved Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge.
You've probably taken the tour through the big cat rescue before but not as many people take advantage of their one-of-a-kind camping experience. Turpentine Creek is open every day (except Christmas) from 9 am - 6 pm.
Address: 239 Turpentine Creek Lane, Eureka Springs, AR 72632
Which means you'll be next to the tigers!
Campsite #1 is the closest to the tigers but every camper will be able to hear the roars throughout the night. The campground has six sites to choose from but it's easy to see why the first spot is the most popular.
It's not uncommon to spot a raccoon or deer during an Arkansas camping trip, but this is the only one in the state that offers a face to face with big cats.
And unlike the accidental encounters that can happen with alligators or bears in the woods, these big cat encounters are safe!
Other lions, tigers, bears, and big cats will be just a short walk away.
One of the perks of camping here is that you'll get free admission into the park as well as two trolley tickets for the guided tour.
Turpentine Creek also offers safari bungalows for a truly unique glamping experience.
For more information on the glamping or tent camping at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, head to their website. You can also see more pictures of their residents by following their Facebook Page. No matter which overnight option you choose, this is one trip that your family will never forget.
