12 Houses You Can Buy Right Now In Arizona For Under $15,000

Buying a fixer upper sounds like a nice thought since a lot of people assume the costs will be significantly lower and they can make the adjustments they want to the house. But, as someone who currently lives in a fixer upper, let me tell you that it’s no joke. Repairs and updates get costly, especially after you discover that the previous contractors had no idea what they were doing when installing something simple like a window.

However, if you are the type of person who likes a challenge and doesn’t mind living in a construction zone for a few months, all that effort, sweat, and the occasional bloody finger can feel worth it in the end. Here are several houses in Arizona that are currently on the market for less than $10,000. Some are mobile homes ready for an immediate move-in and others could use some serious work.

1. 5848 South Del Moral Boulevard, Tucson ($5,000)

This foreclosed condo is just over 1,400 square feet and has three bedrooms with two and a half bathrooms. It will be going up for auction later this week with the bid starting at $5,000.

2. 205 South Higley Road, Mesa ($6,500)

This manufactured home sits on 5.9 acres with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The home is located in a 55+ community.

3. Trails End, Pearce ($7,000)

The home here is no longer structurally sound, so the realtor recommends either some incredibly heavy restoration or just demolition. The interesting little house is 706 square feet and it sits on 4.3 acres of land. So even if you decide to demolish the house, you still have a decent amount of land with some pretty views.

4. 211 North Cunada Street, Ajo ($8,000)

On the market for a little over seven months, the house is 749 square with two bedrooms and one bathroom. There’s no interior shots but, from the outside photos, it looks like quite the fixer upper.

5. 2601 East Allred Avenue, Mesa ($8,500)

This manufactured home has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and looks to be in pretty good condition. The only stipulation? The home is located in a 55+ community. However, if you meet the age requirements, it could be a decent little home that is ready for a November move-in.

6. 5625 North Dudleyville Road, Winkelman ($9,500)

At 1,120 square feet, this home has two bedrooms and one bathroom and would require some heavy restoration work. It also happens to be within the proposed site for the Apache Sky Casino, so the property’s value could appreciate even more after construction is finished in 2017!

7. 3218 North Hawthorn Avenue, Douglas ($9,500)

This manufactured home has two bedrooms and one bathroom. The realtor notes that the property and home is in need of repairs but it could make a nice little starter home.

8. 6770 East Shasta Street, Picacho ($10,000)

If you really want to put work into a house, this one has three bedrooms, one bathroom, and could use quite a bit of elbow grease for renovations. It's available for bidding starting at $10,000 and has been listed on Zillow for two months.

9. 100 Wolfe Street, Sierra Vista ($10,000)

Here’s another home available for auction, where the starting bid starts at $10,000. It has three bedrooms, one bathroom, and seems to be in decent condition based on the exterior photos.

10. 5933 South Old Oak Street, Claypool ($14,900)

This house looks like with some renovation work, it could be a cute little home. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and has been listed for just under three months.

11. 713 West Railroad Avenue, Miami ($14,900)

This interesting-looking house has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and is available for cash. The exterior could use some work but the interior looks to be in decent condition.

12. 2222 Maslanko, Show Low ($15,000)

This foreclosed home has two bedrooms and one bathroom with an interesting stone construction. The house looks like it could use some renovations and a new interior paint job to help brighten it up.
