Sleep Under the Northern Lights in This Unique Cabin in Alaska
There is nothing quite like laying bed, watching the colors of the Northern Lights dance above you.
Viewing the Northern Lights has been on my bucket list since I was young. I love to look at pictures and watch videos of the colors dancing across the sky. Here in Alaska, we are blessed with numerous opportunities to watch this breathtaking night show, and I’ve found just the place where you don’t have to travel far, can snuggle in bed, and observe this magical scene throughout the entire night. The following cabin vacation rental at Cleary Summit is just a short drive from Fairbanks and is where you’ll find comfort, color, and magic all wrapped up in one. It's perfect for some time away.
There are many destinations around the Last Frontier where the Aurora Borealis will impress and inspire you. However, there’s nothing quite like laying in bed, watching the Northern Lights directly above — it’s something many people only dream about. At this incredible Airbnb near Fairbanks, Alaska, this dream can become a reality.
When you book a stay at this home on Cleary Summit, you’ll reserve an entire cabin that can comfortably accommodate two guests. Inside the cabin, you’ll find one bedroom and one bathroom.
However, the single bedroom is the highlight of this home and where you may spend most of your time. Here, you’ll find a cozy king-size bed with large skylights above, providing you with 180-degree views of the colorful dance taking place above you each night. In fact, you may find it hard to sleep at night as you don’t want to miss a minute of the beautiful show — it’s breathtaking and can all be enjoyed without leaving your bed.
When you wake up in the morning, you can head to the main house on the Airbnb property to enjoy a full breakfast. Then, head out and explore. Fairbanks is approximately 20 miles away and is home to multiple museums, delicious restaurants, and locally owned shops. If you love to hike and spend time outdoors, lace up your hiking boots and tackle one of the many trails in the area, such as the easy Chena River Nature Trail or the Tanana Lakes Trail. You may also want a day of complete relaxation at Chena Hot Springs.
There is something magical about the Northern Lights, and when you can lay in bed and enjoy the colorful show high above, it's pure bliss. To learn more about this vacation rental at Clearly Summit near Fairbanks, Alaska, visit the cabin’s Airbnb listing.
