You can go wildlife viewing in the nearby Sheep Mountain Dall Sheep Preserve. Keep your eyes trained on the mountain side to catch a glimpse of the sheep.

Go ice climbing on nearby Matanuska Glacier. Or take an exciting river rafting trip down Matanuska River. You can even go flight seeing around this beautiful area!

Standard tent sites with no electricity start at $23.00 per night.

The popular RV sites start at $38.00 per night and include cable TV, a picnic table, and wonderful scenic views. If you want to splurge, ask ahead of time about their Deluxe Sites that offer a large grassy area and less neighbors. Those sites run at $43.00 per night.

This incredible campground is open from May 21st through September 7th.

Check in time is at 2:00 p.m., and check out is at 12:00 p.m. Make sure you book ahead, because the spots fill up quickly!
