This Alabama Airbnb Is Like Stepping onto the Set of The Magic School Bus

This unique Alabama Airbnb is a converted school bus surrounded by some of the sweetest farm animals you'll ever meet.

Do you ever fantasize about starting a homestead with all your favorite barnyard animals? A place where you can grow your own fruits and vegetables, far from the hustle and bustle of city life? I think we've all daydreamed about that lifestyle at some point.

Well, I hope you get to live your dream (and invite me over). Until then, how about a stay in a magical Alabama Airbnb that feels like you’ve stepped onto the set of the nostalgic Magic School Bus cartoon?

Elberta is a tiny little town in Alabama, about 20 miles north of Orange Beach. It’s here that you’ll find Magic Acres Farm, a retro, hippy farm with one of the most unique Alabama Airbnbs I’ve ever come across.

The converted school bus is named Bloom, and it is your new home away from home. There are three beds and a bathroom, and it’s perfect for a couple’s retreat or a family with little ones.

Inside the bus, the space feels surprisingly cozy and thoughtfully designed. The retro decor and creative layout give it plenty of personality while still making it feel comfortable and functional for guests.

The kids would love the bunk beds, don’t you think? Don’t worry, there are plenty of things that kids and adults will love… like the animals!

There are several cuddly critters that will serve as your ambassadors during your stay. Goats, mini donkeys, barn cats, and bunnies are all waiting for you!

The donkeys, in particular, are very thorough (thorough burro? Sorry, not sorry) and take their job very seriously. They love pets and will charm the pants right off of you. Due to the abundance of farm animals at this Alabama Airbnb, no pets are allowed.

Since Orange Beach is only a short drive away, feel free to jet over to spend an afternoon on the beach. Tanger Outlets, also nearby, are an ideal spot for a shopping spree. Other nearby attractions include the OWA Amusement Park, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, and the Graham Creek Nature Center. I wouldn't blame you if you spent your days lying in the hammock playing with the donkeys, goats, and bunnies. That's actually most likely all I would do.

Inside the bus, careful consideration has been taken to ensure every space is smartly designed. The driver’s seat and steering wheel still remain, giving a nice nod to the bus’s former life. Guests have access to a private bathroom, an outdoor shower, and a clawfoot bathtub (also private).

In the evenings, kick back with a campfire and enjoy some s’mores and good conversation by the light of the fire. Of course, your trusty noble steed will be with you, ensuring you’re practicing responsible fire safety. I told you, he takes his job very seriously!

This Alabama Airbnb is perfect for a relaxing weekend, enjoying the finer things in life. Visit the Airbnb listing to scroll through all of the photos and start making plans to stay at this unique rental today.
