This Airbnb in Alabama Is Peak Fall Vibes
Sitting pretty on the top of a mountain this Airbnb in Alabama gives you a front-row seat to Alabama's fall foliage!
I know Alabama doesn’t rank high when it comes to the best places to see the fall colors, but Alabama does indeed have a few spots to soak in those beautiful colors! Northern Alabama tends to see more of a color splash than the southern side, so if you’re thinking about seeing the fall foliage in Alabama this year, consider spending a weekend at this lovely Airbnb in Alabama. The views are stunning, plus it’s in a great spot with plenty of opportunities to hit the hiking trails nearby.
If you want to take in the fall foliage in Alabama, this cottage in Mentone might just be the best option. After all, what better way to take in the fall colors than from the top of a mountain? This vacation rental in Mentone, Alabama, sits perched on the edge of Lookout Mountain and boasts some picture-perfect views.
The two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom cottage is perfect for a family getaway. There’s ample seating for soaking in those views (from both indoors and outdoors!), a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and even a hot tub for evening soaks.
After whipping up your culinary masterpiece, enjoy your meal outside on the deck! With views like this, I would be enjoying every meal at this table. Morning coffees would be exponentially better with these views!
Of course, the best part of leaf peeping is getting outdoors to admire it. Desoto State Park is only two miles away, and there are plenty of trails here that are just spectacular in the fall. Little River Canyon National Preserve is 13 miles away, and you can bank on even more beautiful views here. If you want to hop over to Georgia, Cloudland Canyon State Park is 30 miles away, and that might be my favorite place to see the fall colors.
Even though this is a nature-driven getaway, I’d encourage you to spend some time exploring Mentone. Known for its thriving arts community, whimsical shopping opportunities, and all-around friendly people, a day trip in Mentone is always a good idea.
After a long day of hiking and exploring, head back to the cottage and catch an epic sunset from the back porch. The fire pit is a nice touch, fingers crossed the temperatures cooperate and you can use it!
If you can time it right, the fall foliage in Alabama is a beautiful time of year. We can never predict Mother Nature, but I would guess that the best time to see the fall colors in Alabama is the end of October, probably early November if I’m being honest. One cold snap could change everything, though, so you’ve got to be flexible and act fast!
