Most People Don’t Know About These Strange Ruins Hiding In Vermont

Strange ruins in the Green Mountain National Forest remain a mystery, with theories about their origins and purposes.

Located deep within the Green Mountain National Forest is something completely unexpected. There are strange ruins in VT and while many have theorized, we suspect few people actually know what these structures were used for, or why they are seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Granted, way back when, just about everything in these parts seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, but this is really quite spectacular if you can find it.

Please note: The location of these ruins (other than the Green Mountain National Forest) is undisclosed by the filmmaker and we completely understand why and respect that decision. Too many people visiting could devastate this special spot. If you know where it is then shhhhh.... Keep that location under lock and key! Thanks!

Youtube explorer Green Mountain Metal Detecting

has produced a fascinating video titled "Mysterious Mega-Structure Discovered in the Mountains of Vermont | Exploration Adventure" and we love it!

This video shows Brad and Eddie as they hike to a place they heard about from one of their subscribers.

They hike through the forest for several hours and make some discoveries along the way.

You'll see evidence of man made things along the way such as these drillings. Holes like this were made so you could slip dynamite into the rocks for blasting. The time frame must have been post Civil War since dynamite wasn't invented until the 1860's.

As they get closer, they spot an abandoned car along the way.

The car is likely from the 1920's, which gives us even more clues as to when this area may have been inhabited.

When they finally find their destination, they are clearly shocked (and so were we!) at how large this is!

There are several structures and remaining cellars, so whatever was here was clearly massive for the time.

As you can see, these walls were - and still are - really tall!

Structures still maintain their doorways and some window openings.

This may have been a community settlement, however it could have been industrial because there appears to be an old railroad grade on the way.

If you're exploring areas like this, please use extreme caution.

The walls have shifted and there's no way to know how stable the stone slab ceilings may be.

What was clearly a big endeavor before is now being reclaimed by nature.

There is a tree growing sideways out of the foundation!

While we don't know necessarily when and what these buildings were used for, it's clear that some serious craftsmanship and effort went into building it!

They often go hunting around Vermont for treasures and hidden places, and we think you'll love them all!
