Your graduating class was less than 300 students, but you needed the entire auditorium because the whole town came.

2. Familiarity

The other thing? You knew all the names of every single one of those students you were graduating with...for better or worse.

3. No Secrets

Your life was pretty much an open book and everyone knew everything about you...or they at least thought they did.

4. Bullies

Bullying wasn't really a thing you had to worry about. Of course there were fights, but no bullying because you likely grew up with everyone you went to school with.

5. High School Sweethearts

And to that end, a lot of them probably taught your older siblings as well as went to school with one or both of your parents.

8. Phone Calls

Which also meant that you couldn't get away with anything because your parents would know before you ever got home.

9. New Kids

Going to a small high school also meant that it looked kind of like a day of festivities when a new kid graced the doorstep. Well, at least for a few months anyway.

10. Football

Being a small high school also meant that it was difficult to have a football team, a cheerleading squad, and people left over to be in the stands...

11. Oddity

It also meant that if you were a little odd then you stuck out like a, well, giant umbrella-like balloon thing...

12. Feuds

If you and a friend got into a fight, well, you both might have gotten the whole school involved.

13. Staying in Touch

And, lastly, class reunions are pretty much pointless because you probably still talk to 95% of the people you went to school with on a regular basis!
