14 Ways Living In Cleveland Ruins You For Life

Cleveland's got a bad rap, but that's only with people who've never been here. Because if they'd been here, they'd know how amazing it is. (We don't want the haters here, anyway - we don't need that kind of negativity). Everyone who's ever lived here knows that it's a great city. In fact, some things about Cleveland are so great that they kind of ruin you.

1. You start every day like this...

With a sunrise that illuminates the skyline...

2. And finish it like this

With a sunset over Lake Erie.

3. You'll never be a fair-weather fan

And you're a bit jealous, because it must be so easy!

4. But you might never be prouder

Because when you share victories in Cleveland, you know you've earned them.

5. Either way, you'll never be a casual fan

Of anything. Ever. You were raised to be passionate.

6. You'll expect every sandwich to be loaded

Like the famous Slyman's Tavern corned beef...

7. And pierogis with everything

Whether it's a side, an appetizer, an entree, or a main ingredient, they're on the menu.

8. You call it a "mild winter" if it's not snowing by November

And you'll find it hard to adjust to anywhere that hasn't had about 1000 feet of snow by February.

9. You've got a winter hobby

And you know you'd miss it if you went anywhere else.

10. You can see world-class art for free

At the Cleveland Museum of Art.

11. And hear a world-class orchestra

With the Cleveland Orchestra, which also happens to be the best orchestra in the country.

12. Your favorite brunch spot is under $10 (with drinks)

You might fork out occasionally, but you know where to get the best brunch for $7, with all-you-can-drink coffee. Big city prices make your head spin.

13. You'll never settle

Cleveland is a city that aspires and inspires: to grow, to improve, to learn, to survive and to thrive.

14. Because even if you leave, there's always a reason to come home for the holidays

Sure, for some people that's family, but we all have our own reasons...

What do you think? Has Cleveland ruined you for other places by being totally amazing?
