You Can Buy A 114-Year-Old Amusement Park In New Jersey For An Absolute Bargain Right Now
Clementon Park and Splash World, a historic New Jersey amusement park, will be for sale next month.
Admit it: When you were a child you visited Six Flags or Walt Disney World and thought, wow, I would like to own an amusement park one day. Of course, then you got older and the idea of sinking a ton of money into an amusement park seemed a little, well, unrealistic. However, we have some news that might intrigue you: a New Jersey amusement park will be for sale next month.
Clementon Park and Splash World is a whopping 114 years old — it was built in 1907 — making it a part of Jersey history. The park had plenty of rides, a Ferris wheel, and a super fun waterpark section complete with slides and a wave pool. It was a fun place to be until it sadly closed two years ago. Now, this slice of Jersey history/legit amusement park can be all yours.
Clementon Park and Splash World delighted New Jersey residents with a water park and rides from 1907 until it closed in 2019.
There was a 23,000-square-foot wave pool and beach as one of its highlights.
And of course, there were plenty of rides too that didn't involve getting wet.
Now, all that land can be yours.
While it'll be sad to see a historic New Jersey landmark go, we should note for a 27-acre lakefront amusement park, the price tag is pretty reasonable.
The park was assessed at $4.25 million in 2019. Hey, is it really that much to own your very own Six Flags?
OK, fine, it's still a lot of money. But hey, you do get a Ferris wheel out of the whole deal!
It's like playing Roller Coaster Tycoon in real life!
