The town of Truro is located towards the end of the Cape Cod peninsula between Wellfleet and Provincetown. Its year-round population is around 1,700. residents and it is considered the most rural part of the Cape.

While the population during the summer can explode to about 15,000 to 20,000, it's a relatively low-key, quiet place to be any time of the year.

Approximately 75 percent of the town's land is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Home to incredibly pristine beaches and woodlands, you can find plenty of solitude here.

Through the woods, you can take a hike along the many trails and fire roads which may lead to ponds or even to one of Truro's gorgeous beaches. This is off-grid living at its finest!

Close to Head of the Meadow beach is the North of Highland Camping Area. To make your visit truly feel like an off-grid experience, consider pitching your tent in the woods. Then take a walk straight to the beach.

What a perfect place to get away and disconnect from life for a little while.
