Mid-City Lanes Rock n Bowl in New Orleans is a historic bowling alley and live music venue known for its vibrant atmosphere and zydeco music nights.
There are some places that have been around New Orleans for so long that it's hard to imagine the city without them. Mid-City Lanes Rock n Bowl is one of those institutions.
Mid-City Rock n’ Bowl is one of those New Orleans institutions that generations of New Orleanians have memories at.
The bowling alley originally opened in 1941 under the name "Mid City Lanes". It wasn’t until John Blancher purchased it in 1988 that it became the live music venue that we know today.
In 2009, Rock n Bowl moved to its current location, about 12 blocks away from its former home.

They became quite popular for their zydeco music on Thursday nights, a tradition that continues today.
Get ready to dance the night away, sip on some beers, and maybe knock down a pin or two.

The lanes are open seven days a week.
