Many parents agree it is also likely the loudest children’s museum as well. After going to this particular museum, you and your children will feel cheated the next time you go to one in another state.

2. You Don’t Actually Have to Walk Outside Downtown

The beauty of downtown Indianapolis is you rarely have to set foot outside to get where you are going. In fact, the IUPUI campus is part of the downtown Indianapolis and Hoosiers love knowing their college students can get across busy streets and heavy traffic by using skywalks.

3. Unpredictable Weather

Living in Indiana, you can sing in the rain, bathe in the sun, and build snowmen in the same week. Hoosiers do applaud their weathermen and women for trying to keep up with the unpredictable weather from one week to the next.

4. There isn’t a such thing as “easy money”

In the state of Indiana, you work hard for the money. Hoosiers are not afraid to get their hands dirty or work a minimum wage job (or two of them) to support their family

If you grew up thinking Santa Claus lived in the North Pole, you grew up thinking wrong. In Santa Claus, Indiana you can meet Saint Nick and shake his jolly hand! In fact, there is an entire theme park called Holiday World dedicated to Santa Claus. Nothing tops living in the same state as Santa Claus.

Sure, every Hoosier is quick to remind you that living in Indiana is more than just endless fields of corn. However, that does not mean the beautiful cornfields of Indiana do not deserve a little credit. They produce beautiful landscaping, gorgeous sunsets and sunrises, exciting nighttime drives, jobs, and food. Plus, you aren’t going to get better testing corn than you can from local farmer’s markets in Indiana!

8. State, County, and Town Fairs

From the small town fairs to the huge state fair that seems to last forever, Hoosiers love having an excuse to go outside and have a party. We enjoy playing games we cannot win and eating fried foods that may kill us one day.

9. Not Liking Veggies is Acceptable

Did you know that only about 50 percent of the population in Indiana eats produce on a regular basis? Statistically, this makes us the dead last in the United States. Little ironic given the fact that a little more than 60 percent of our state is farmland...

While we may not make a good home for hunters, we do make a very appealing home for people who are avidly against hunting. Did you know only roughly 2 percent of Indiana consists of open places for the public to hunt?
