We're lucky to live in a time where peering back on what life once was is as easy as looking at a series of photographs. For anyone who wants to see what life was like in Georgia in the 1900s, we have plenty of photos that will give us a glimpse. Thanks to a few digitally archived photos, we’re able to showcase some of the most fascinating pictures from the 1900s, so that you can feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

5. The Rialto Theatre in Macon, Georgia

The Rialto Theatre opened in August of 1921 but was eventually demolished. This photo is from 1930 when the theater was in its prime!

While this photo might have missed the mark in terms of early 1900s photos by a handful of years, we still thought it was worth including in this list. Especially because of how much Gainesville has changed!
