When you need a break from the city, you'll find this hidden lake view trail tucked inside a picturesque regional park to be just the remedy you're seeking.

Located in Peters Canyon Regional Park, this lake view trail is just shy of three miles and will take you through the most picturesque setting.

When you arrive at the park, make sure to stop at the ranger station to pick up a map and check out the route for the trail. It's a helpful way to start your experience at this outdoor oasis.

Peters Canyon Lake View Trail is rated as easy and can be enjoyed by almost everyone. Although there is a bit of an incline, it's nice and gradual and won't leave you panting for air.

Just as you'd expect from most trails in SoCal, you will have lots of open patches with direct sun. Just make sure to pack plenty of water and slather on some sunscreen for the best hiking experience possible.

The Lake View Trail at Peters Canyon Regional Park is open from 7 a.m. to sunset. Parking is available, but please note at the time of this writing the parking fee is currently $3 per day.
