There’s nothing like a great community celebration, and the Downtown Riverfest in Sioux Falls is one of the best. Put this fun festival on your calendar for this weekend!
The gorgeous Big Sioux River winds through Sioux Falls. It adds a lot of charm and beauty to the downtown area, and it's a popular spot for community events.
Every year in August, the city celebrates the river with its Downtown Riverfest. This is the 5th year for this popular festival which is expected to draw crowds of 20,000 or more people. It takes place on August 19th from 4 PM to 11 PM.
There's a full schedule of family-friendly events - everything from kids activities to canoe rides to live entertainment. There'll be a bunch of food vendors there, so plan on grabbing dinner at the festival.
Every great festival has live music, and you'll enjoy three free concerts, starting with Mrs. Begley and the Boys at 4:30 PM. Hear The Fattenin' Frogs at 6:30 PM and The4onthefloor at 8:45 PM.
