Badlands National Park, with its big sky and incredible rock formations, really is like being transported to another world. Take a look at this enchanting hike.
Castle Trail is a 10.7 mile round-trip hike that takes you some of the most beautiful spots in Badlands National Park.
Thunderstorms here can be dangerous. If you see a storm approaching, descend from high points to avoid lightning strikes. The trail can become slippery when it's wet and muddy.
Before you head out on this hike, make sure you have plenty of water, a hat and some sunscreen. Most of the hike is in full sun exposure and it can get pretty hot. As always, tell someone when and where you’re planning to hike.
