This Annual Burger Battle Is Coming Back To South Dakota… And You Won’t Want To Miss It
When it comes to comfort food, nothing beats a thick, juicy, and cooked-to-perfect burger, which – lucky for us South Dakotans – is easy to come by here in the Mount Rushmore State. While nearly every chef and establishment have their own unique take on the dish, it can be hard to compare them all, which is where this epic South Dakota Burger Battle comes into play:
Taking place January 2nd through January 31st, 2020 is the 7th Annual Downtown Burger Battle, which is famous for being one of Sioux Falls' signature events!
Presented by the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation, the 7th Annual Downtown Burger Battle invites you to "Prepare your tastebuds for battle," as 16 restaurants duke it out for your vote and the title of Best Burger in Sioux Falls.
How does the battle work? It begins with you (the patron/judge) downloading the special DTSF Digital Passport and rating each burger you try, which will be added up with the rest of the votes to decide the winner.
It isn't just the overall flavor that you'll be judging, as the Burger Battle is broken down into 5 different categories, including the bun, patty, toppings, presentation, and customer service.
Who will be competing in this year's Burger Battle? It will be popular Sioux Falls restaurants like the Blarney Stone Pub, Falls Landing Bar & Grill, M.B. Haskett Delicatessen, and Swamp Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen (pictured), all of which will be putting their best foot forward for your vote.
