6 Amazing Flea Markets In South Dakota You Absolutely Have To Visit
Raise your hand if you LOVE saving money! *raises both hands enthusiastically* If you are anything like me, you get a huge thrill over both finding treasures and saving money, which is why you are going to go crazy for these 6 amazing South Dakota flea markets that you absolutely have to visit:
1. Benson's Flea Market (Sioux Falls)
Let's be real: Only at Benson's are you going to find one-of-a-kind collectibles, gorgeous statement jewelry, and perfect busts of Grizzly Adams' (I think?) head. Please note: Benson's Flea Market is located at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds Expo Building and runs on the first full weekend of every month from September to April.
2. 4 Seasons Flea Market (Madison)
The 4 Seasons Flea Market in Madison is just that: the Four Seasons hotel equivalent of flea markets! Open year round (AKA all four of the seasons), this gem of shop has been in business for 20 years and houses a whopping 1,000 vendors, so you KNOW you will find a new treasure every time you visit!
3. Peddlers Market (Watertown)
While not a peddler (a door-to-door canvasser who sold a little bit of everything) in the traditional sense, Peddlers Market is chock-full of all kinds of goodies ranging from home decor to clothes and accessories to hand-made soaps and gifts.
4. The Farmer's Daughter (Hill City)
For a shopping experience that feels like you're walking around an upscale boutique, check out The Farmer's Daughter, which -- as the sign implies -- is filled to the brim with old and new antiques, collectibles, home decor, and gifts.
5. The Alley Exchange (Pierre)
While it may have been established in 2014, the Alley Exchange feels like the type of place that has been around forever, thanks to its mixed vendors, highly anticipated pop-up shops, and a friendly staff who will make you feel right at home!
6. Old West Trading Post (Chamberlain)
"Specializing in Antiques and Collectibles since 1998," the Old West Trading Post is THE place to go in SoDak for Old West memorabilia, vintage clothes, furniture, maps, and books. (Psst... when you visit, be sure to take in their "Old West Museum/Olson Estate," which is jam packed full of old-time items in incredible condition.)
