Watch Trains Roll Over The Trestle On A Casual Stroll Along The River In South Carolina
When you really look at it, Greenville, South Carolina’s urban waterfall at Falls Park on the Reedy isn’t the state’s only larger-than-life natural urban water attraction deserving of accolades. The three rivers that converge in Columbia are equally beautiful and have an enormous footprint of parks, trails, bridges, amphitheaters, and more.
The Saluda, Congaree, and Broad Rivers all come together in spectacular fashion in the state's capital to create a wealth of outdoor recreation, outdoor venues, and just plain outdoor bliss.
It's here that you can wander in wonder along miles and miles of trails, launch a canoe or kayak, bring your rod and try your luck at catching dinner, and oh-so many more activities.
And there's yet another way to enjoy a scenic stroll along the rivers: at about the halfway point along the Three Rivers Greenway, there are two very active train trestles that cross the Congaree River.
Trains moving in the forward direction symbolize our lives, and the fact that they can be added to parallels the growth our souls encounter as we grow and age.
