Most people who've traveled through Marion, South Carolina are at least familiar with the most unusual country store ever. It's located on Highway 501 and is one third of the way between Interstate 95 and Myrtle Beach. For everyone else, if this isn't a regular route you travel, then you've been missing out all of these years on a true hidden gem: Sparky's Country Store.
Cloaked in can't-miss yellow paint and big, bright signs painted with huge letters and colorful characters like sharks and crabs, the outside of Sparky's is as much of a treat as is the inside!
Both inside and outside of Sparky's, you'll discover an enormous selection of merchandise ranging from a fresh fruit and veggie stand all the way to items for the home.
Whether seeking a gift for yourself or another, the huge variety of items is a goldmine of ideas.

There are oodles and oodles of souvenirs and tchotchkes. A person could really spend hours at Sparky's just sorting through all of the possibilities.
When you're finished, grab a bite to eat! There are two hot food options including Sparkytown, which is open for breakfast and lunch serving breakfast biscuits, personal pizzas, and more. (Their hot dogs are our personal favorite.)
For your sweet tooth, Sparky's Country Store has a seemingly endless supply of hard candies and salt water taffy in flavors galore. An ice cream shop scoops up favorite flavors for customers year-round.
After you've filled your tummy and your trunk with all of the goodness found inside Sparky's, head to the gas pumps and fill your tank.
