Most People Don’t Know About The Overnight Camp Outs Aboard This Former Aircraft Carrier In South Carolina
One of the most unique places to camp in South Carolina isn’t found in a traditional campground. It’s found aboard the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant. Most people aren’t aware that you can spend the night on the Yorktown, but you can! There are just a few guidelines you’ll need to meet in order to do so, and then a few more you’ll need to follow during your overnight stay.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
There are three cost packages for camping overnight. Depending on whether you want an educational program during your stay and also upon how many meals you want included, the cost ranges from $45 to $76, and to $96 per person.
Have you ever camped overnight aboard the USS Yorktown? How was it? Let us know in the comments!
