Seafood restaurants abound in South Carolina - and with good reason. The state's close proximity to fresh and saltwater means fresh seafood is right at our fingertips. And nowhere is that more obvious than at a restaurant situated right on the docks at a busy seafood port along the coast. If you haven't discovered Fish Camp on 11th Street in Port Royal, then prepare to be wowed.
Located just five miles south of Beaufort at the 11th Street port in Port Royal, Fishcamp on 11th Street is a delight in many ways.
First, the views are positively amazing. From local shrimp boats that call the port home to sunsets over the creek with the boats in silhouette, the location couldn't be any more inviting.
Next, the food and the service are impeccable. Fishcamp on 11th Street opened in the summer of 2018 and quickly earned the same respect as its sister restaurant in Hilton Head - Fishcamp on Broad Creek.
Seafood is the crown jewel of the menu — and there is lots of it, prepared in every way imaginable. Whether you like it steamed, broiled, seared, crusted, baked, tossed in pasta, or fried... you'll find it at Fishcamp.
And it all gets rave reviews! It's the number one restaurant in Port Royal at the moment on TripAdvisor with an average of 4.5 stars. Once you've eaten here, you'll understand.
It's open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to midnight serving from a lunch menu as well as a dinner menu. Sundays feature a special brunch menu from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The varied menus also include some celebration-worthy entrees, like their Seafood Towers. Worthy of paying a little more for the occasion and massive amount of seafood in the entree, the Royal Tower, seen here, includes twin lobster tails, 1/2 pound of king crab, 1/2 pound of snow crab, 12 shrimp, 12 clams, 12 mussels, and 18 oysters, six each from three different sources: Bluepoint, Gulf, and James River.
Don't forget to save room for dessert! You can always walk it off just up the street at the Port Royal Boardwalk to the observation tower!
Of course, for those in your group who may prefer something other than seafood, Fishcamp on 11th Street also features steak and chicken entrees.
Are you ready to check it out? As mentioned, it's only five miles south of Beaufort so start planning your next foodie adventure.
