This Daytrip Will Take You To The Best Wine And Waterfalls In Rhode Island
Ready for a road trip? This wonderful journey combines Rhode Island vineyards with the amazing scenery of a few of our captivating waterfalls. Engage all of your senses with one day trip that has less than an hour and a half driving time. You’re going to love this outdoor adventure that combines two of our favorite things, wine and waterfalls.

We'll take in a waterfall to get us started, visit Stepstone Falls in a most picturesque setting.
Hike in the forest of Acadia, the state's largest recreational area to reach this treasured spot. Your route will take you through the forest and along the river on a fairly easy shaded walk.
After that hike, you'll be ready for some refreshment, so the next stop along the way is Leyden Farm Vineyard & Winery.
Enjoy the relaxing backdrop at this 60-acre farm in West Greenwich. Sample bites of fruit and cheese paired with local wines. Some of the wines created here are infused with fruit flavors giving them a complex and delightful flavor.
Time for another waterfall and the next one on the list is Ponaganset Falls in Clayville.
This waterfall is found at the Scituate Reservoir, Rhode Island's largest inland body of water. Listen to the rush of the water as it tumbles over the dam and into the rocks, the sound will soothe your soul.
Just a short jaunt to the north, our next stop is Verde Vineyards in Johnston.
Wine at this quaint vineyard is made using hand-picked grapes, open fermentation, and oak barrel aging produces some amazing blends. Savor a glass while enjoying the country views including a few backyard chickens.
Travel onward to The Purple Cat Winery & Brewery a local gem serving quality wine and handcrafted beers.
Located in Chepachet, this rustic spot with its post and beam construction has 11,500 square feet of space. In addition to wine and beer tasting, you can find a cafe menu that has plenty to satisfy any hunger pangs you might be feeling.
We'll finish our trip with one last waterfall at the Round Top Fishing Area in Burrillville.
