Where are some of the best destinations for fall foliage in Rhode Island?  

Rhode Island is a pretty incredible state no matter what time of year it is, but there’s definitely something about autumn that makes it extra magical. Though realistically you’re surrounded by incredible fall colors in Rhode Island all the time, there are some specific destinations that are the absolute best when it comes to the changing of the seasons. Some of the best destinations for fall foliage in Rhode Island include the many stunning state parks in Rhode Island, like Goddard Memorial State Park, Rocky Point State Park, and Colt State Park.

There are plenty of fun things to do in the fall in Rhode Island if you ask us! Of course, there’s obviously no shortage of amazing opportunities to do some leaf-peeping in Rhode Island, and you can’t miss some of the most epic autumn hikes in Rhode Island, either. Embark upon an amazing scenic autumn Rhode Island drive (more on those in a moment), or head to any of the delightful family-friendly pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and fall festivals you’ll find in almost every small town in Rhode Island. It’s a magical, memorable time of year, and we think you’ll fall in love with this beautiful state all over again once you’ve experienced it in the fall.  

What are some beautiful fall drives in Rhode Island to add to my bucket list? 

For every amazing state park or hiking trail in Rhode Island you ought to check out when the leaves change, there are at least a couple of scenic drives, too! A few of our favorite scenic drives in Rhode Island for the fall include gems like Route 4 Southbound to the Rhode Island Beaches, a 29-mile drive showcasing some of the most beautiful scenery in the state made even more stunning by the brilliant foliage. You can also do Route 114, a 28-mile jaunt from eastern Rhode Island to Newport, or go all-out and do the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, which will take you all the way to Massachusetts (and is worth every mile).
